Nile Infrastructure Alerts
Introduction
Nile infrastructure alerts raise awareness about the issues experienced by Nile-owned services such as Nile Service Block (NSB), Nile Guest Service, and Nile DHCP service.
Below is the list of alerts raised in the Nile Portal for Nile Infrastructure, along with recommended actions.
Device Unavailable
This alert is generated when a Nile service element, such as switches, access points, or sensors go offline. The user can view the details on offline network elements by clicking the alert and visiting the "Nile Device Inventory" page.

This alert is generated when a PoE request from a wired device connected to a Nile switch cannot be granted by the Nile switch.

This alert is generated when the aggregated PoE across all Nile switches on a floor is close to the limit, and less than 30W of aggregated power is available.

This alert is generated when the Nile Service Element is operating at a higher-than-recommended temperature.

Nile Cloud DHCP pool space is low
This alert is generated when the Nile Cloud DHCP Service is running low on the IP address pool space.

These conditions are typically caused by devices renegotiating to a lower speed, often due to a faulty cable.
