The Nile Access Service provides a detailed Access Point (AP) management and monitoring interface within the Nile Portal. This feature enables IT administrators and network managers to efficiently oversee, troubleshoot, and maintain their wireless network infrastructure. By offering comprehensive AP information, the Nile Portal enhances network visibility, simplifies troubleshooting, and improves overall network management.

Accessing AP Details

  • Navigate to the "Device" page in the Nile Portal.
  • Click on any "Wireless Device" to view its details.
  • Scroll down to the Heat Map section and click on "AP Location".

Quick Tooltip Information

Hover over an AP icon to view a quick tooltip with basic information. The tooltip provides at-a-glance information about an AP:

  • AP Name
  • Serial Number
  • AP Status (color-coded for online/offline)
  • Band Channel
  • Channel Utilization Per Band (percentage)

Detailed AP Information

Clicking on an AP icon reveals a comprehensive set of details:

Viewing All APs

To access a comprehensive view of all APs:

  • Open the detailed slide-in panel for any AP.
  • Click the "See All APs" option at the bottom of the panel.
  • A new page will open, displaying detailed information for all APs.
  • APs are organized by floor for easy navigation.
  • The initially selected AP will be highlighted in this view.
