General Administration
Allowed Domains
1min
Allowed domains is a security function in Nile that is used for multiple different functions as described below:
- By default, if "[email protected]" has signed up for the Nile Portal, then John can add any other email that belongs to the domain "acme.com" as an administrator to the Nile Portal.
- But there will be cases, where the customer might have onboarded a contractor or a consultant to work on behalf of them, in these case, we need to allow the domain first in order to add the email as an administrator.
- Guest Email approvals:
- When configuring a captive portal for the guest segment or SSID, if the user selects the auth method as email approval instead of click-through, the approvers email that a user enters should be from one fo the allowed domains.
To add a new allowed domain on the Nile Portal, please navigate to Account Management >> Domains >> Add Domain
Once you have added the domain, you can start adding administrators belonging to that domain
