Getting Started with the Nile Access Service

Get started by setting up your Nile Portal account, your central hub for managing Nile Access Service.
Steps to Get Started:
- Welcome Email You’ll receive a welcome email from Nile introducing you to your dedicated service delivery manager (SDM).
- RegistrationClick the link in the email to complete a quick registration form and create your organization’s tenant and setup login.
- Approval & Password SetupOnce approved, you’ll get an email from Nile to set your password.
- Invite Team Members From the Nile Portal, you’ll be able to add other members from your organization.
- Service Area Setup Setup Service Areas in the Nile Portal. These are the sites, buildings, and floors where you want the Nile Access Service
Each service begins with a complete, high-performance design based on your unique needs.
What to Expect:
- Site SurveyOnce your service areas are set up on the Nile portal, your Nile Service Delivery Manager (SDM) will contact you to schedule a site survey.
- Design & BoMWe’ll provide a detailed design and Bill of Materials (BoM) that meets Nile's guaranteed performance standards.
- Equipment & InstallationYour SDM will order equipment and schedule installers to come on-site and activate the Nile devices.
Ensure your environment is fully ready to install your Nile Access Service by reviewing key architecture and configuration details. Please set up your router/firewall and Nile Portal before the Nile installation day to ensure a seamless migration.
What to Expect:
- Nile Service Block Architecture Get familiar with the Nile's Service Block Architecture, and understand the difference between core vs context.
- Network Migration Learn about the network migration process, specifically Nile's Layer 3 architecture, which eliminates traditional VLANs and go through the Migration process page to plan your network migration.
- Routing & Firewall Configuration Set up your routers and firewalls for seamless integration and also refer to the vendor specfic integration guides.
- Nile Portal Setup Configure your Wireless SSIDs and set up MAC Authentication for wired devices within the Nile Portal so that you can begin testing once the Nile Service Block is activated.
Nile will handle all the necessary infrastructure installation to get your network up and running efficiently.
What to Expect:
- Infrastructure SetupOur team will install Nile access points, sensors, access switches, and distribution switches across your site to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Testing & ValidationAfter installation, we will thoroughly test the Nile infrastructure to ensure everything meets Nile’s high-performance standards and is ready for seamless operation.
- Customer Device TestingOnce the installation is complete, you can start testing your client devices for connectivity, ensuring that both wireless and wired devices are functioning properly.
- Wired Device SetupBegin plugging in wired devices such as cameras printers, and other critical equipment to confirm network access and performance.
- Customer Success Manager AssignmentYou’ll be introduced to your dedicated Nile Customer Success Manager (CSM), who will be your primary point of contact for ongoing support, ensuring your service continues to perform at its best.
