Device Events raise awareness about the following:
- Radius, DHCP and DNS issues experienced by the devices
- Errors (a.k.a user errors) while connecting with the network
- Location where the condition occurred
- Time at which the condition occurred
For example, the below Devices page shows a list of devices with DHCP, DNS, Radius, and user errors.

Below are the categories of device events shown by Nile Portal:
- DNS events
- Association requests events.
- Authentication success/failure event.
- DHCP success/not reachable/out of ip address events
- Radius time out events
- EAP success/failure events
- Static Client IP events
- Station state error events
By Clicking on a particular Device in the "User" column, you can view the device details and see the ordered list of events for this device.

To resolve end users issues, Nile Portal provides the customer Admin with a "Run Test" capability. Admins may execute "Run Test" to determine where the user is experiencing a problem. Specifically, the Admin will be able to answer whether the problem is with the network, infrastructure, or an application.
An example of working with Run-Test is shown below (a 2-step process):
- An Admin would click the "RUN TEST" blue text on the top right of the screen to start the process.
- RUN TEST creates a popup window while running the tests and then displays the results once all are complete.
